Terms and conditions (Game Rules) of participation for the Facebook game running on the Facebook page of the British Council Hungary, 22.11.2023.
Please read the rules carefully and only participate in the game if you agree with what is described below.
1. The organizer and operator of the Game
The promotional game called “60th Anniversary Facebook Game” published on the British Council Hungary Facebook page - hereinafter: Game - is organized and operated by:

2. Who can participate in the game?
Any natural person over the age of 18, who uses the Internet, has a valid Facebook profile and has a place of residence or permanent residence in Hungary (hereinafter: Player) can participate in the Game.
Employees of the organizer in relation to the Game (hereinafter: Agents), as well as close relatives of such persons according to Art. 8:1. § (1) point 1 of the Civil Code may not participate in the Game.
By participating in the prize draw, the Player acknowledges that they have fully familiarised themselves with these Terms and conditions and accept them unconditionally.
If the Player does not accept these terms and conditions or any of its provisions, and raises an objection in relation to it, they are not entitled to participate in the Game and will be automatically excluded from the Game.
The Game is conducted in accordance with these Game Rules including any action to participate. If the Game Rules do not regulate an issue, then the relevant provisions of the applicable legislation must be applied.
3. Duration and course of the game
Duration of the game: 22.11.2023. – 20.12.2023
A weekly question will be posted to the British Council Hungary’s Facebook page on the third day of each week at 4.15 PM.
WEEK 1.
Start of the weekly game: 4.15 PM on 22.11.2023.
End of the weekly game: 5PM on 28.11.2023.
Draw: 29.11.2023.
WEEK 2.
Start of the weekly game: 4.15 PM on 29.11.2023.
End of the weekly game: 5 PM on 05.12.2023.
Draw: 06.12.2023.
WEEK 3.
Start of the weekly game: 4.15 PM on 06.12.2023.
End of the weekly game: 5 PM on 12.12.2023.
Draw: 13.12.2023.
WEEK 4.
Start of the weekly game: 4.15 PM on 13.12.2023.
End of the weekly game: 5 PM on 19.12.2023.
Draw: 20.12.2023.
In order for a Player to participate in the Game and be eligible for the prize, they must act according to what is requested in the Game announcement, posted on the Facebook page of the British Council Hungary. They must provide the right answer to the weekly question by the deadline for submissions for the given week. A Player can participate in the draw by submitting only 1 comment under the original question posted to Facebook.
After the end of each and every weekly game no answers can be posted to the question of the given weekly game. Belated answers will be excluded from the draw. The Organizer publishes a separate warning containing the stipulation in the previous sentence on the Facebook page where the answers to the given weekly question can be given/published via comments.
Draw: 29.11.2023, 06.12.2023, 13.12.2023, and 20.12.2023.
Results will be announced no later than 24 hours after the draw. At the same time as the results are announced, the Organiser will publish the correct answer for that week's game.
During the duration of the game, 1 winner and 2 alternate winners will be drawn weekly from among those Players, who submitted the right answer to the question.
4. Prizes, winners
The organizer will draw 1 winner and 2 alternative winners each week. The winners will receive the following prizes:

1 IELTS exam opportunity (apply until March 15, 2024 through the British Council Exam Centre. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash, and the British Council is not responsible for an unsuccessful exam.)
The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred.
The winners will be determined by means of a machine draw, keeping in mind the principle of randomness.
The Organizer will keep a record of the draw, including the place and time of the draw, the participants in the draw, the number of answers to the weekly question and the number of correct answers, the method and result of the draw and the signatures of the participants.
The names of the winners will be published on the Facebook page of the British Council Hungary in the comments below the game invitation post, no later than 24 hours after the date set for the draw.
If the winner drawn and announced at the announced time loses his right to his prize for any reason, one of the alternate winners in the order of the draw becomes entitled to it.
The winner is not entitled to receive the prize if:

they were under 18 when they signed up for the game,
-
does not send a Facebobok message to the organizer within 5 working days of the publication of the winners' names stating that he/she wishes to collect his/her prize, or does not respond to the Facebook message from the organizer to this effect within 5 working days;
-
the winner cannot be contacted for any reason;
-
the winner does not provide the data necessary to identify him/herself or to deduct any public charges on the prize,
-
it can be clearly proven that they participated in the Game with multiple and/or false registrations, with which he/she gained an unauthorized advantage;
-
it can be clearly proven that they are intentionally trying to influence the course/outcome of the Game in any way;
-
violate any point of these participation rules.
5. Notification of winners
The winner will send a message to the organizer within 5 working days of the publication of the names of the winners stating that they wish to collect their prize. The organizer will contact the winner who sent the message on their wish to take over the prize via Facebook message to clarify with them how to identify themselves, and to agree the details of the collection of the prize and to request the personal data necessary to collect the prize and to deduct the public charges.
If the winner cannot be contacted within 5 days from the posting the Facebook message, the winner is not entitled to the prize. In order to identify and verify the identity and age of majority of the winner, the Organizer may oblige the winner to provide proof of identity and age of majority.
If the winner does not act in accordance with the contents of the Facebook message sent by the Organizer, or refuses to provide one or more of the requested data (for example, tax identification number) to the Organizer in writing or does not participate in his/her identification within the requested time frame, he/she may become ineligible for the prize.
6. Delivery of Prizes
The details of receiving the prize will be discussed with each winner in a Facebook message. The prize will be sent by email within 5 calendar days after receiving the player's data.
The Players are obliged to cooperate in order to receive the prizes. If this is not complied with and the acceptance of the prize fails, the prize can no longer be delivered and the Organizer bears no responsibility in this regard.
7. Responsibility of the Organizer
The Organizer excludes its responsibility for the provision of incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete data by the Players, as well as for the loss of the notification sent to the winner electronically for which they cannot be blamed, or the unsuccessful delivery for other reasons, and with respect to damages suffered by the Player or any third party resulting from its delay.
8. Data Management Policy and data protection
This Data Management Policy provides information about data management purposes, the legal basis of data management, the duration, and recipients as well as about the rights and legal remedies of the participants in the Game in relation to data management.
The Data Management Policy is an integral part of the "60th Anniversary Facebook Game" Promotional Game Rules, i.e. an appendix. Concepts not defined separately in this Data Management Policy have the meanings already defined in the Promotional Game Rules.
By participating in the Game, the Player acknowledges that they have read and accepted the provisions of the Game Rules and the Data Management Policy.

8.3. Data retention period
The data received during the Game is processed by the Data Controller only until the goal is achieved and for the period specified by law, the following table shows the duration of the data management:

8.4. Data transmission, the recipient of the transmission
The personal data will not be transferred to a third party without the prior information and permission of the Player, excluding the cases specified in the legislation. For the sake of legal obligations (tax assessment and tax payment), the Data Controller may forward the data of the Winners to the competent NAV (Hungarian National Tax Authority).
In the event of a legal dispute, the data of the Player concerned will be forwarded to the legal representatives and consultants cooperating with the Data Controller.
The Data Controller conducts the Game on the www.facebook.com website operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. We would like to draw the attention of the Players to the fact that Facebook's Data Management Policy is available at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy.
8.5. Players' rights related to data management, legal remedy
Players' rights related to data management
The Player may exercise his rights related to the data management of his personal data managed on the basis of this Data Management Information Sheet by sending a request to the Data Controller via e-mail to the e-mail address information@britishcouncil.hu.
The Player has the right of access to the personal data processed by the Data Controller in connection with the Game according to Article 15-21 of the GDPR, i.e. they are entitled to receive feedback from the Data Controller as to whether their personal data is being processed. If the Player's personal data is being processed, they are entitled to receive information about the data management related to them, including the categories of their personal data being managed.
The Player is entitled to have inaccurate personal data corrected by the Data Controller without undue delay upon request. Taking into account the purpose of data management, the Player is entitled to request the addition of incomplete personal data, including by means of a supplementary statement.
The Player is entitled to have the Data Controller delete their personal data without undue delay upon request. In this case, the Data Controller is obliged to delete the personal data without undue delay, provided that, for example, the personal data are no longer needed for the purpose for which they were collected or otherwise processed. The deletion of the Player's personal data must be carried out even if the Player objects to the data processing and there is no overriding legal reason for the data processing on the part of the Data Controller or a third party. The Data Controller is obliged to delete the personal data even if the personal data has been unlawfully handled, or the personal data must be deleted to fulfill a legal obligation prescribed by EU or Hungarian law applicable to the Data Controller.
The Player is entitled to have the Data Controller restrict data processing upon request if they dispute the accuracy of the personal data, in which case the restriction applies to the period of time that allows the Data Controller to check the accuracy of the personal data. Data management must also be restricted in the event that the data management is illegal and the Player opposes the deletion of the data and instead requests the restriction of their use, and also in the event that the Data Controller no longer needs the personal data for the purpose of data management, but the data subject requires them to submit, enforce or defend legal claims. Data processing must also be restricted if the Player has objected to data processing; in the latter case, the restriction applies to the period until it is determined whether the legitimate reasons of the Data Controller take precedence over the legitimate reasons of the Player.
The Player is entitled to receive the personal data relating to them, which they have provided to the Data Controller, in a segmented, widely used, machine-readable format.
The Player is entitled to object at any time to the processing of their personal data on grounds related to their own situation if the legal basis of the processing is the legitimate interest of the data controller or a third party.
Legal remedy
The Player may exercise the rights contained in the point of this Data Management information regarding data management by means of a written request sent to the Data Controller by post to the address of the registered office or electronically to the information@britishcouncil.hu.
The Player shall have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of his/her habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement, if he/she considers that the processing of personal data concerning him/her infringes data protection legislation. The complaint can be lodged with the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information:

The Player has the right to appeal to the court against the NAIH's decision regarding the complaint.
The Player may directly approach the court against the Data Controller if, in their opinion, the Data Controller handles the personal data provided to them in violation of the regulations on the handling of personal data, as defined in the law or in the mandatory legal act of the European Union. According to the Player's choice, the case will be handled by the competent court according to the place of residence or stay.
Responsibility
The Data Controller assumes no responsibility for the uploaded content.
The Player is solely and exclusively responsible for the content of the comments published during the Game, so if the comment contains any personal data, data or other information of the Player/third party, the Data Controller excludes any liability, and the Player or third party may not make a request against the Data Controller . If this were to happen, the Player who published the comment is obliged to fully exempt the Data Controller from the claims of the third party.
We inform the Players, as stakeholders, that we reserve the right to unilaterally modify our Data Management Policy, so please always check the current content of our Data Management Policy.
