5-HOUR FREE DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP FOR TEACHERS OF ENGLISH
This event will focus on creative literacy development in the English language classroom with learners from the age of 8 to 14 following on the previous development workshop.
We will review and discuss shortly the key factors of and the optimum conditions for creativity (see Part 1). This time the focus will be more on activities for reading and writing skill development so we will observe how creativity can arise from different text types for example, poems, songs, rhymes, storybooks etc. One of the essential elements of the language teacher’s work: teacher’s questions will be discussed in details, too. And as before, we will try out and reflect on a number of classroom activities which can be used with young learners of different ages and levels.
While the previous training course focuses more on the age group of 5 to 12-year-old learners, this one will look at the same issue from the point of view of literacy development and will deal with creative literacy development for 8 to 14-year-old learners.
