A group of young people taking part in a hackathon

Food Innovation Design Sprint

Are you ready to dive headfirst into the world of food innovation? We are seeking the brightest minds to craft creative solutions for the challenges in our food systems that positively shape consumer behaviour and make our world more sustainable. This sprint-like competition will push you to your limits with one intense day of brainstorming, problem-solving and pitching, and the winning team will take home €1,000.

We are joining forces with the MOME Innovation Centre to host a food innovation design sprint for young people. We are inviting young people aged between 18 and 35 who are passionate about sustainability and interested in innovation and creative problem-solving to work together in interdisciplinary teams and create solutions for real-world problems.

We’re looking for applicants aged 18–35 from all fields and backgrounds. Whether you’re a lone innovator or a group of like-minded thinkers, you can join us to make an impact and solve real-world problems.

The design sprint will take place on 31 May 2024 at the MOME Campus, with an online introduction on 28 May 2024.

Prizes: €1,000 for the winning team and €500 for the runner-up team.

To take part in the design sprint (individually or in teams), complete the online application form by 12.00 midday on Wednesday 22 May 2024.

Participation is free.
